Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrates 75th birthday

On Sunday 18th of March I was in Sydney for the 75th birthday of the Sydney Harbour Bridge by making my way to The Rocks in Sydney. There were over 200,000 people who came out to celebrate. I could see a huge Australia Flag floating above Sydney Harbour near Kirribili from my North Sydney hotel room

The bridge was closed so that the people could walk across 'Our Bridge' with all traffic diverted under the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

Some very proud bridge walkers show me the free $1 coin (with the purchase of the Sun Herald $2) to commemorate the 75th birthday of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Music filled the air

Jazz

Street performers brightened our day

People were displaying their love for Our Bridge

There were hourly flights over the bridge
